On 15 September 2025, Stavros Nicolaou, Group Senior Executive: Strategic Trade, joined by the South African Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture, Mr. Gayton McKenzie, officially handed over Aspen-sponsored netball courts to the Ennerdale community — a community with a wide range of socioeconomic challenges and in many respects neglected.
Aspen contributed to the Health Works – Unlocking Local Pharma Manufacturing session, focused on scaling regional production, resilience, and jobs. Lorraine shared Aspen’s growth journey and key enablers to expand access to medicines—highlighting partnerships, technology transfer, and global mechanisms like WHO prequalification and PEPFAR.
Discussions reinforced the urgency of progress through regulatory harmonisation, pooled procurement, demand certainty, and strong IP partnerships.
