An Aspen Pharma initiative
In late 2017, the team in Brazil introduced Creation Workshops which are designed to give employees an opportunity to de-stress while being creative and being taught to make crafts.
The program is hosted in partnership with the Association of Support to Women with Neoplasm (AAMN), a non-profit organisation that cares for female cancer patients. AAMN also provides food and accommodation for many patients who do not live in Rio de Janeiro but who need to remain in the city for the duration of their treatment. The facilities provided by AAMN are funded exclusively by donations as well as the sale of crafts that are made by volunteers.
As such, the Creation Workshop not only provides a stress free, creative environment for employees, but simultaneously assists AAMN by increasing its stock of the crafts that are sold to fund their initiatives. Our employees have also been able to integrate with the patients and provide companionship, comfort and care to them and in December they also participated in hosting a Christmas lunch for those ladies who were at the facility over the festive season.
